Shneersohn, Dov Ber of Liubavich

(1773-1827)
   Russian Hasidic leader. He was the successor of Shneour Zalman of Lyady. He founded the Habad settlement at Hebron in Palestine, and advocated the establishment of Jewish agricultural settlements in Kherson province, in the Ukraine.
